SEO Tips For Beginners
Pinterest suspended my account for two weeks last month and I was forced finally focus on SEO. In August, my blog got 300 page views from Google. This month, it is 1,300 and counting. My traffic is gradually less dependent on Pinterest and more from SEO . Edit: For all those asking about my strategy; I have a digital marketing background so it was pretty easy to create a strategy of sorts but here’s what I did: - I only create content for long tail keywords with a decent monthly search volume (think 10k to 100k). While it looks easy to use short tail keywords with over 1M searches in a month, your content will get lost quickly. - Then I try to write long form content. Think 1500 words and above. - Obviously, my on-page SEO is on point. - Most importantly, I worked on my backlink profile. During this period, I got a backlink from a major lifestyle publication which also helped a lot.
